Funding Emerging Art with Sustainable Tactics

FEAST is a recurring public dinner designed to use community-driven financial support to democratically fund new and emerging art makers.

My talented culinary, arts & community minded friends have organized an ideal dinner cooked up in a church basement this Saturday Feb 21 5-8pm in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. If you live in the area please stop by!

Please visit the new website FEAST for more information. Pay what you wish—all proceeds go to an artist’s proposal that you vote on. Whichever artist wins he/she receives the funds to create a project that will be exhibited/performed at next month’s FEAST. Pretty amazing! They are getting lots of press. WNYC will be there interviewing people for their blog. Rad!

Good lord. I read your post one day to late! The Greenpoint FEAST fest was only a five minute walk from my house! So sad. I will try to make it next time!!

This is really exciting. I’ve been planning something very similar to this in Scotland so it’s nice to see it in action somewhere else!
